FQA Management Services Pvt.Ltd. (An ISO 9001:2000 Certified) in association with Fouram For Six Sigma. (FSS) is started with a vision of providing these programs to Indian Industry at a reasonable cost. FSS has developed and conducted Six Sigma Black Belt Training program for Samtel Group, Escotel Mobile communications. Our programs are tested for Indian Conditions.
FSS activities include:
Research and development of methodologies, tools, books and software.
Create Awareness about Six Sigma.
Provide the training programs to Indian Industry at a reasonable cost.
Promote Six Sigma Professionals and cross learning.

More important is that these methodologies have been tested for Indian Conditions. FSS has conducted five public programs of Certified Black Belt during 2001 - 2003. Trained more than 100 Black Belts.

WHAT IS SIX SIGMA?

Globally, Six Sigma is now recognized as a new way of doing business. Six Sigma is fast becoming a standard practice in manufacturing, service and software companies.
Pioneered by Motorola and later adopted by companies like GE, ABB, AlliedSignal, Kodak, Ford, Delphi etc. are adopting this practice. Most of the Korean companies are aggressively working on Six Sigma initiative and the competition will become tougher for Indian companies.

SIX SIGMA IN SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZE COMPANIES

The six sigma implementation basically involves training about 1% of the people in your organization as Six Sigma Black Belts. The Black Belts implement Breakthrough projects. They work as team leaders and team members are trained as Green Belts. Further, Green Belts can also do smaller projects independently as team leaders.

Typically a company with 250 people needs about 3 Black Belt and about 20 Green Belts. It is a good idea to train supervisor and above as Green Belts. The Black Belts provide facilitation and coaching to the Green Belts. External facilitator or consultants can be used initially for the facilitation, till the Black Belts are confident.

Six Sigma Green Belt Training


Green Belts are an integral part of the companies Six Sigma deployment and support the efforts the Black Belts and the projects implementation process. Green Belts are trained in basic six sigma concepts, methodology, working knowledge of statistical tools and team working. Green Belts are real working hands for the Black Belts. Each Black Belt can develop 10-15 Green Belts. The Black Belts productivity will increases properly trained Green Belts.

LEARNING METHODOLOGY

The real learning process starts before the commencement of the 6 days training and extends up to a period of six months after the training program.

The FSS Black Belt certification follows the following criteria in-line with the international practice:

Knowledge Requirement: Attend 6 days classroom training and there will be continuous assessment during the course. Towards the end of the training program, a written examination is used for testing the statistical skills and specific feedback is given.
Project Requirement: Participants have to complete one project to demonstrate the mastery of statistical skills & soft skills and noticeable results in the company. A detailed project report needs to be submitted to the Institute.
